There’s this polymer clay artist, Heather Powers, and she makes these awesome beads. Ordinarily, I don’t even like polymer clay. I don’t like using it, rolling it through my pasta machine, or making Skinner blends, but Ms. Powers is like the patron Saint of polymer, so although I use many of my own handmade glass beads in my designs, I do sometimes use Heather’s polymer clay "delightables." I don’t know how she does it, but it reminds me of rolling dough. And I’m no good at that either. Sticks to the pin. ALWAYS. So, after completing this etched copper bracelet, I concluded perhaps there was a subconscious Asian influence from our pending China adoption. I am always thinking about it now, ah , but I digress… I chose beads from Heather’s biz, Humble Beads, and etched my own abstract design into the copper which resulted in an unintended and quite pretty Asian semblance.
